Perfect Thought I’d just share this beautiful little illustration for an upcoming book called PERFECT. I’m so very lucky to be working with Freya Blackwood on this one, she brings such an amazing warmth to the words. The story is really about a perfect day, or perhaps a perfect summer. I’ve been lucky enough to see the full version in pencil sketches and Freya has done such a fantastic job – it already feels like a forever book! PARACHUTE has been short listed by the Children’s Book Council of Australia for the Picture book of the year. Of course it is due to the beautiful artwork by Matt Ottley and the wonderful attention to detail by the editor Margrete, and all at Little Hare. Can’t quite believe it.
